Currently there are only two known catalogues that can be referenced so there is still a lot of unidentified glass in circulation made by Reich. This set is featured in their 1934 catalogue. The bowl is very simple in its design but extremely effective with the figure. The rim has a wave design and the main body of the bowl has three sections of a zig zag design. Two parts of the zig zag are finished off in textured glass. The opalescence is used very softly in the bowl. The lady flower frog figure is very graceful in her pose and is well modelled with great attention to detail. She looks classical in style, modestly dressed in robes.
She is bare breasted, holding her right arm towards her neck while her left drapes over her middle and holds flowers. The base of the flower frog follows on in shape from the rim of the bowl with a wave design.
Included in this set is a black plinth which raises the set above table level for maximum effect. All in all a fabulous set which will grace any collection. Bowl has two slivers off the edge of the base (possibly molding flaws). Not seen when on plinth.
Small sliver off one of the ridged areas of the outside of the bowl. Some scuff marks to the glass but other all is great condition. Dimensions - Height overall 26cms, without plinth 23cms, width of bowl 26cms.
