1253 Art Deco Sabino Vase. A fine Art Deco opalescent glass vase by Sabino of Paris. It is in the'Les Aras' design (The Macaws) and dates around 1928.
The exterior features the macaws and circles, the exterior is largely frosted with some polished highlights. Sabino produced some wonderful pieces very much in the same vein as Lalique.
Sabino vases are scarcer than Lalique but are still lower in price making them great value to the collector. The opalescent glass has a different look to Lalique with a slightly more subtle blue and stronger fiery oranges even when against a black ground. The studio lights show off the opalescence in the images, and these pieces are best displayed backlit against a dark ground for the blues, or a light ground if you want the fiery opal tones.
The vase is etch signed to the base'Sabino Paris. Very good order, small imperfection just below the rim which appears to be a mineral inclusion from production. Wear to the base as expected. If for any reason you are unhappy with your item please let us know as soon as possible, and we will do our best to put things right.
